Thrixopelma Ockerti (Peru Flame Rump)

An absolute stunning New World species, the Thrixopelma Ockerti (Peruvian Flame-rump) is a hybrid of sorts. Many keepers speak of the tendency of this spider to want to be both Terrestrial and Arboreal. It is a calm species but may kick urticating hairs when pushed too far. The Thrixopelma Ockerti has teal legs with pink hairs on them. While the abdomen is a bright red color that gives this spider its common name.
