Rainforest Poison Dart Frogs:

The ABG (Atlanta Botanical Gardens) substrate is based off of the original recipe which is specifically designed to be used in wet and humid environments such as poison dart frog terrariums. ABG Mix contains finely ground tree fern fiber, milled long fiber sphagnum moss, milled sphagnum peat moss, fine charcoal and fine fir bark guaranteeing the correct ratios to form this substrate. This precise combination allows for excellent moisture retention and superb drainage leading to a substrate that will not easily become compacted or anaerobic in terrarium conditions. ABG Mix will support populations of microfauna while allowing plants to thrive. We recommend wetting the substrate with distilled or reverse osmosis water before placing it in the vivarium, be sure to provide 2"-3" inches of ABG Mix in a tropical naturalistic vivarium for maximum effectiveness.
